Privacy Policy

Usage statistics. We use Google Analytics and Vercel Analytics to see which pages people visit, roughly where in the world they are (usually the city or region — never your street address), what kind of device and browser they used, and which site or search sent them here. We read it in aggregate — that, say, forty people looked at the services page yesterday. We never try to work out who an individual visitor is, and this site gives us no name, email or account to attach to a visit. That said, information like an IP address or a device identifier can count as personal data under some privacy laws, so we describe it here rather than calling it anonymous.

Performance data. Vercel Speed Insights records how quickly pages load and respond, so we can find and fix slow pages. It sets no cookies and does not identify individual visitors.

Standard server logs. Like any website, our host records requests — the page requested, the time, the browser type, and the IP address the request came from. These are used to keep the site running and secure.

Every “Book” button on this site opens SQUIRE, the booking platform our shop uses. Once you leave this site, you are on SQUIRE's platform and their privacy policy applies — including anything you enter there, such as your name, phone number, email or payment details. We never see your payment information.

We receive from SQUIRE only what we need to serve you: your appointment, the service booked, and the contact details you gave them so we can reach you about that appointment.

Google Maps. The map on our contact page is deliberately not loaded until you click “Show map.” Until you do, Google is not contacted and sets nothing. If you click it, Google's terms and privacy policy apply to that map.

Instagram, Facebook and Booksy. We link to our profiles on these platforms. We don't embed their tracking code — nothing is sent to them unless you click through, at which point their own policies apply.

Google Analytics. Usage data described above is processed by Google. See Google's privacy policy.

You can browse this site with cookies blocked, with an ad or tracker blocker on, or in a private window. Nothing here breaks without them.

If you'd like to know what information we hold about you, or you'd like it deleted, email us at thegaragecuts@gmail.com and we'll take care of it. For anything you entered on the booking platform, contact SQUIRE directly, since they hold it.

Children. We cut kids' hair, but this website isn't directed at children and we don't knowingly collect information from them. Appointments for minors should be booked by a parent or guardian.

Changes. If we change how this site handles information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
